Want to get connected with fellow students? Student groups/societies are a great way to connect with people who share similar passions and interests. Student groups are for the students and by the students. They are created and run by students.
There are over 180 interest groups. There is a group for everyone here at Macquarie University. You can simply find a group of your interest and register with them to join.
By joining groups like this, you can experience different cultures, try new things, make new friends and many other things.
Student societies provide us a great opportunity to meet new people, improve communication skills and develop team work skills. It is a good way to get some social experience in Uni.
There are different kinds of groups existing according to students interests. If you don't find one of your interest, you can create your own and spread it.
Some of the student groups are cultural, faculty/professional, humanitarian, performing arts, political, religious/spiritual and social groups and sports clubs.
