Macquarie Law School


The Law School at Macquarie is the third oldest law school in New South Wales and is a leading institution in undertaking innovative research, fostering interdisciplinary approaches to the law, promoting social justice and enhancing understanding of fundamental legal rules and institutions.

The staff at the law school come from a wide range of backgrounds in order to offer an exciting and varied perspective to their students. Staff members have provided pro bono advice on legal matters, undertaken consultancies with government agencies, UN offices, private firms and international organisations, undertaken outreach activities with local high schools and community groups, among other things.

The Law school provides pre law pathways, double degrees for undergraduates, postgraduate options via a Master of Laws as well as research degrees.
