iLearn

Written by Dilini

iLearn is the website used by students at Macquarie University for accessing teaching materials for there subjects. Often lecturers and tutors will refer to the units ‘iLearn page’ and this is where students will be able to find the unit guide, weekly reading, tutorial homework and lecture slides. Additionally the page also contains a link called ‘Announcements’ where the unit convener will post any important information. Some units will also have a ‘Discussion Forum’ where students are able to post their own questions which can be answered by other students.

One of the other main functions of iLearn, is Echo. This is usually found on the right hand side of each unit’s iLearn page and contains the recorded lectures from each week. If students haven’t been able to physically attend the lecture or wish to listen again to the lecture, Echo is the place to go. There is the option of pausing, fast-forwarding and slowing down the speed of the lecture.
