Scholarships at Macquarie University

Macquarie University awards around $2.5 million dollars in Scholarships every year, for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.At Macquarie University, students are offered various scholarships on the basis of financial need, academic merit / Leadership, sporting achievement,or any other hardship.
They always ensure that you are getting the best support the University can offer to graduate without any difficulties.
I am an international student, and I was offered Vice-Chancellors scholarship based on my performance in High school,which was a great help from the University towards my tuition fees.

There is a huge range of scholarships for all type of students who wants to graduate from Macquarie. Let me give you an insight into the scholarships that the University offers,

1.Financial need:
Macquarie University offers scholarships to students who require any kind of financial support towards the tuition fees as well as the accommodation costs. Some of them are, Macquarie Education Costs scholarship, Macquarie Accommodation scholarship, Macquarie University Refugee scholarship etc.
Many residential colleges of Macquarie awards scholarships too.

2.Academic Merit/ Leadership:

Students are offered scholarships based on the academic excellence and leadership skills of the student, like Macquarie university Merit scholarship, PACE scholarship. Also, students are guaranteed to get a scholarship or reward when they excel in a particular department, for example, Doris Wallent scholarship in Mathematics.

3.International Scholarships and Grants:
Macquarie provides many opportunities for international students to undertake studies here. It offers scholarships based on the country of residence, department and the level of study. Many international students get benefits like this from our University, to encourage them to undertake their studies with an ease.


4.Indigenous/Rural students:
Macquarie University also encourages Indigenous and rural students to undertake studies here.

5.Sports/Travel grants:
Our University also supports elite athletes by providing them scholarships. Travel grants are offered for students to support their study tour or exchange programs.

These are the different kinds of scholarships available for students who wish to study at Macquarie University. Macquarie has the most generous scholarship programs which attract many students to pursue their studies here.

Who are we and what are we about?

Created by four vastly different university students from varying degrees and background we provide a vivid insight into all aspects of Macquarie Uni. 

Why don’t we start with an introduction?

Aneiq 
I am currently a first year student studying bachelor of commerce, majoring in professional accounting. I'm currently seeking work in a security firm. When I'm free I like to spend time with my family or mates.



Dilini 
I am in my third year, studying a double degree of Law and Commerce. When I’m not at uni, I work at a law firm and enjoy seeing the reality of what I learn from my degree. What I love must about MQ Uni is not only their fantastic law school but also the greenery surrounding campus.






Shahzeb 
I’m currently a first year student studying Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Business Information Systems. I’m currently working casually as a security guard for National Events Security (NES) at ANZ Stadium. In my free time, I like to chill out, be creative and enjoy life.



Teja
I'm Teja, and I'm an international student pursuing Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Public policy, Law and Governance. I'm currently a first year student. Whenever I'm free, I like to volunteer for Oxfam's events, a non-profit organisation, which I'm passionate about.
